Atlanta from above

This year we’ve been fortunate enough to visit the USA, New York City especially. Our wonderful friends took us in their homes and allowed us to see the city during out 6 month stay allowed by our tourist visas. And our friend’s bother, who lives in Atlanta, also took us home for 1 week to show us around.

He’s a pilot, but I’d always said he’d made an amazing tour guide. He’s so good with taking us to amazingly beautiful places and give us the taste of the city, even outside the usual tourist routes.

One day he took us to see Atlanta from above, by taking the elevator more than 70 stories at the top of Westin Peachtree Plaza. They have an amazing rotating restaurant there and the ticket to go there is only 5$. If you want, you can eat/drink something, if you’re “poor” like us, just enjoy the view.

This is 191 Peachtree Tower. More exactly 2 towers, as you can see.

Here you can see SunTrust Plaza and, in the distance, Bank of American Plaza, or the Crayon, as I called it. This is its top:

This is the Aquarium from above too.

Atlanta seemed very nice and clean (compared to New York City), with a lot of trees and green space. The only problem was we arrived there in July, so the heat was almost unbearable. We do have our share of hot days, but nothing in our lives so far prepared us for the humid heat we endured there. Anyway, it’s been nice.

PS: as usually, the entire Atlanta photo collection can be seen on bestworldimages.com
